For Hungarian companies

Market entry in China, Korea and East Africa

We continue the work where the business delegation ends. Business cards become vetted partners; letters of intent become prepared negotiations.

Let’s start with a conversation

Who is it for?

Hungarian manufacturing, technology and service companies that have an export-ready product or service and are seriously considering the Chinese or Korean market or a market in East Africa.

Market entry in China, Korea and East Africa is typically a process of several years that requires personal presence. A trade fair or a business trip is a start, not a result: for the work that follows – follow-up, verification, further meetings – most companies have no one on the ground. This is where we help.

What do we provide?

Four modules that build on one another but can also be ordered separately. We define the detailed content for your company after the first conversation.

  • Market assessment and guidance on support instruments

We assess whether there is a place for the product in the target market, and on what terms. We review which state and EU export support instruments are available and which of them are worth using.

  • Partner search and partner due diligence

We look for potential distributors, buyers or cooperation partners and check them before negotiations begin: whether the company exists, who is behind it, and what its record shows.

  • Accompanied business trip

We prepare the trip and accompany you throughout: meetings arranged in advance, local escort, and a written summary of and follow-up to the discussions.

  • Local representation

Between trips, too, there is someone on the ground who follows matters, stays in touch with the partners and tells you when it is time to act.

Three regions

  • China

China is our priority market. Our team includes a member with two decades of experience of the Chinese market who negotiates in Chinese. The focus of the work is on checking the partner: before you sign a contract, you need to know who you are dealing with. This applies equally on the sales side and on the sourcing side.

  • Korea

Entering the Korean market requires precise preparation and patient, personal relationship-building. Our task here is partner search, the preparation of negotiations and follow-up.

  • East Africa

The work is led by a member of our team with institutional and business experience in East Africa, who knows the local institutions and procedures and helps you find your way through them. Local legal matters are handled by lawyers from our local legal partners in several African countries.

Our compliance principles

Our fee is tied to the work performed and is fixed in writing in advance. We carry out due diligence on every partner before we introduce them, and we share the results with you. Our task is knowledge of the market and its procedures, partner search and the preparation of negotiations; we make no promises about the outcome of official procedures.

Fees and getting started

We work with fixed-fee modules and a monthly retainer; we state the fee in a written proposal after the first conversation.

We start with a first conversation. In it we clarify what your company offers, which market may be suitable, and how much time and what resources you can commit to market entry. If we find that the plan is not well founded in its current form, we say so.

Let’s start with a conversation

Tell us which market you are interested in and where you stand now: whether you already have contacts there, whether you have visited, and where things have stalled.
